In an effort to assist the impoverished newlyweds who face many financial obstacles at the onset of their journey together, Yad Ezrah launched a number of programs that enable them to establish their home respectably, at a much lower cost, and most of all, with happy hearts. Among them is a dowry program, named after Tzivia, the late wife of Reb Asher Freund zt"l. Eshel Tzivia extends a dowry to couples who cannot meet the expenses of purchasing the basic necessities for their new home. The couple is provided with new sets of linen, blankets, towels and basic kitchen supplies, filling the new home with joy, optimism and warmth.
A new fund called "The Ohel Sarah Fund" was established over a year ago by our dear friends, the Rohr Family, in memory of their beloved mother, Sara Rohr a"h, with hopes of your support to keep it active. The fund provides loans and financial grants to specific young couples whose families try hard to earn a living, yet try as they might, they still do not manage to pay up the wedding expenses with their meager salary. Many of these chattanim and kallot were orphaned at a young age, and/or are products of dysfunctional homes. Yad Ezrah is acquainted with their sorrowful plights firsthand, and offers them a supplement, reassuring both the couple and their struggling
family that they are not alone.
